Motherland and hometown are words which have an emotional ring to them. Nostalgia, pangs of affection and reminiscence often stem from these words. The exodus of many people from one country, often in search of better paying jobs abroad has exposed an altogether different dimension of these words. Irrespective of which part of the world you are in, visiting your country is like a religious affair, like a yearly ritual that must be part of our plans.
In such a scenario, people have found wonderful ways of reducing the cost. Often travelling from one country to another could be an expensive deal. Booking the flight, paying for transportation, the packing, the gifts and a thousand other minor things that add up to the final bill. Some employees therefore gleefully accept and in some cases request for vacation inclusive business trips. After all, as a fast evolving civilization, we take pride in multi tasking, and time being such an essential commodity, to plan multiple things under one umbrella and cutting time and cost are always on the forefront of our consideration.
The beauty of such a trip lies in the fact that for every country there is a community of employees who would be willing to take up what for some others is an arduous journey. The reward comes in the form of your flight booking and transportation which is well taken care of. Couple of months of business and a paid vacation is not a bad offer at all, especially when it saves you so much. Moreover, from an employer perspective this is a mighty good incentive to work harder and broaden the domain of expertise.
Sometimes being on a business trip adds that extra charm to one’s personality. One is perceived in the family as someone important in the rungs of the organization, as someone successful who has made it in the big league. The elders of the family, who were once embittered by the exodus, now take it as a pride to receive sons, and grandsons and nephews who have travelled far and wide. At least for the approval of the family, vacation inclusive business trips seem to be worth it.
